Great location near French quarters with picturesque setting. Comfortable rooms for a group of 7, close to grocery store and amenities like vending machines and coin-operated washer & dryer.
Felt at home instantly, nothing to complain about.

historic mardi gras inn was as quirky as we expected. staff was wonderful and our room was large. we were able to walk into downtown in less than 20 minutes and there were good places to eat less than 5 minutes from our door. we also loved the cat cafe right next door where we communed with all the cats and kittens. the location and the antique home feel of the room was great and i liked that it opened to a courtyard that felt very relaxed and comfortable. i loved it for that adventurous vibe it has. it feels lived in and is authentic. i thought parking would be an issue but it was actually easy parking and was easy walking to the french quarter even on sore feet from running a marathon the day before.
